How to find popular sites in your market

A simple and cool technique for quick market research.

Use the search box on www.quantcast.com to search on a popular website domain in your market.

An info page about that site will appear, and if there's enough traffic, you'll get some interesting info.

But click on over to the 'lifestyle' tab (if it's highlights) and scroll down.

What you'll find is a lists of topics related to that site, and also other websites that attract a large portion of similar visitors as the site you have just searched on.

This can reveal important target sites for advertising, promoting joint venture deals, or exploring key competitors.

And it only takes a couple of minutes.
